Rustburg Volunteer Rescue Squad
Welcome to Rustburg Volunteer Rescue Squad,
On behalf of the Rustburg Rescue Squad volunteers I would like to thank the staff and management of Rustburg Exxon and the providers of the barbecue on September 19, 2014 for a very successful fund raiser on behalf of the Squad. The efforts of y'all is greatly appreciated. Best wishes to all of those involved.
Greetings, I am in the process of updating the website. Please be patient as this is new to me, being a webmaster that is - I always thought they were spiders. I hope to be able to post a history of the Rustburg Rescue Squad shortly. To the best of my knowledge the squad is a spinoff from Squad 3, Gladys Rescue, in the 70s. If you have any information while I am gathering the history please use the "Contact Us" link to forward the information.
The Rescue Squad is located at 238 Village Highway in Rustburg, about 3/4 mile west bound from the traffic light in downtown Rustburg. Currently the Rustburg Rescue Squad is host to Campbell County Public Safety units: Medic 8, a unit staffed 24/7/365, and Medic 61 on duty weekdays from 8 AM to 4 PM. EMS 8, the shift supervisor, is also hosted by the Squad and is on duty 24/7/365 when there are sufficient personnel. This unit supervises the daily operation, assists with calls and first responds as necessary. Pictures are forthcoming.
Check out the Squad Store, come November 1, 2013 we will have two items available for sale to assist our response efforts and for your safety. The items are the green 911 signs you have probably seen on some yards and a blinker for a window or porch light. Details are on the Squad Store page.
I am Brian G. Brooks and am Team Leader for Team 3, Rolling Equipment. The "Contact Us" page will direct your email directly to my personal email account. I will answer all emails and get back to you ASAP.
